Let customers speak for us
from 27 reviewsTokyo is a beautiful city and going in this tour was an excellent idea. We didn't want to end because it was so good. If we have the opportunity, we'll book it again. We recommend this tour and our guide Sakura 100%.

We had a really great time and our guide Sakura was awesome. She showed us areas and places that we never would have visited or found. We got also a lot of inside knowledge and had great conversations. Thank you Sakura!

Yui was an excellent very personable and sympathetic guide. It was a lot of fun and she showed us a Tokyo that we didn't know and we ate very tasty.

The Osaka Food Tour was fantastic! I especially loved the Wagyu beef teppanyaki—it was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly right in front of us. The lively atmosphere of the food districts made the experience even more enjoyable. We also tasted classic street foods like takoyaki and kushikatsu, and learned about their significance in Osaka’s food culture. This tour is a must for anyone wanting to experience the best of Osaka’s local cuisine.

I really enjoyed the Tokyo Food Tour. One of the highlights for me was trying the traditional Japanese set meals with many small dishes served in beautiful little bowls. It was a wonderful way to taste a variety of authentic flavors all at once. Martina was knowledgeable and shared interesting stories about the food’s history and cultural background. The tour gave me a great mix of popular spots and hidden gems. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a deep dive into Tokyo’s culinary scene.

Since this was my second time in Osaka, I asked to skip the usual tourist spots and it was amazing. We wandered into parts of the city I never would’ve found on my own. A supermarket with prices so low it felt unreal, backstreets full of local color, even a tough looking district where day laborers hang out. A bit gritty, a bit thrilling, totally fascinating. And the food was great and incredibly cheap.
If you want to experience a side of Osaka most tourists never see, this is the tour. Highly recommend.

I had a fantastic day exploring Tokyo. The local market was lively and fun to walk through—great atmosphere and tasty snacks.
One highlight was the shabu-shabu lunch. It was delicious, with tender meat and rich flavors—definitely one of the best meals I had in Japan.
Akihabara was a blast too. Martina helped me find rare Pokémon cards and an anime figure I’d been hunting for a long time.
The day was well-paced, relaxed, and packed with great food and unique experiences. Highly recommend!

We loved exploring Osaka from Osaka Castle to the lively Dotonbori. The kids couldn’t get enough of the takoyaki, their new favorite Japanese food.
The views from the Umeda Sky Building were amazing and gave us a great look at the city. Yui was kind and easy to talk to, and helped us enjoy both the popular spots and quieter local areas.
Perfect for families and anyone wanting to feel Osaka’s unique vibe. Highly recommend!

Our day in Kyoto with Yui was incredible. She guided us through some of the city’s most iconic sites such as Golden Pavilion, Fushimi Inari, and Kiyomizu temple, just to name a few. The kids loved visiting the same places Japanese students go on school trips, and we were impressed by how many World Heritage sites we saw in a single day.
Yui made the history come alive with her stories, which kept all of us engaged (even the younger ones). For us adults, it was educational and fascinating. For the kids, it was exciting and easy to follow.

Martina planned a great day that kept both our kids and us happy. The kids loved visiting the Pokémon Center and trying cute Instagram-worthy sweets in Harajuku. Meanwhile we enjoyed exploring beautiful shrines and temples.
The pace was perfect, never rushed but we saw so much. Martina’s local knowledge made the day smooth and stress-free.
It’s a great tour for families or anyone looking for something fun, balanced, and personal. Highly recommend!

Haruka guided us to fantastic places like Bamboo Grove and Golden Pavilion. Besides the famous spots, she also showed us quieter areas with traditional buildings and few tourists, which we really appreciated.
Kyoto quickly became one of our favorite places thanks to this tour. Highly recommended!

Martina made getting around Tokyo easy and comfortable. We saw both modern areas and traditional spots like temples and gardens. She also took us to a local soba place we wouldn’t have found on our own, which was a nice bonus.
The places she chose and the explanations she gave made the experience even better. The tour was well organized and paced perfectly. Definitely helped us get the most out of our day.

This is the message I am referring to: “Dearest Martina.
Again I had a fabulous time but in a different way from Kabuki.
I enjoyed myself so very much watching and learning the rituals in Sumo wrestling including the clothing of judges and the men who sing pre fight the two wrestles coming up next.
At one stage I wasn’t sure I was in Japan.
The quiet, reserved, respectful Japanese get excited at Sumo. I thought I was back in Australia. Shouting out, holding signs and clapping in excitement, standing and cheering on their favourites just like we do in Australia.
They were noisy and I was laughing at times at the change in the people watching the tournament.
Such a fun night.
Thanks again for the ticket.
I have a couple of days to buy Pokémon pieces and candy for the grandchildren before heading home.
I walked on the river today which was lovely.
Thank you again for arranging everything.
I have again loved my visit here and I will recommend you to all my friends when they go to Japan.
Irene.”

We were lucky enough to have Martina as our guide during our recent trip to Japan. She was so accommodating with our group (3 adults and 3 kids), especially with all the endless requests for snack breaks!
Martina was able to create an itinerary that suited all of us, plus she showed us how to get around, use the train system and plan the next leg of our journey.
She was even able to connect us with guides in other cities which made planning our holiday so easy.
Highly recommend!
